Landholders beware

11 November 2010

BSA wants to warn all members, and landholders, to be extremely cautious and aware of public notices relating to CSG activity in newspapers.

QGC has recently had public notices in the newspaper advising of their application to change from an EA Level 2 Activity (lower risk) to an EA Level 1 (higher risk) Activity. The notice referred to four operating fields including Wandoan, Bellevue, Ruby and Jordan and would lead you to believe that it only applied to those individual fields. On closer inspection it became apparent that these four names actually referred to four geographical regions which each encompassed a number of individual fields.

The four geographical areas included Wandoan, Bellevue (located both east and south of Miles), Ruby (south east of Kogan stretching south back towards Dalby) and Jordan (east of Chinchilla, south to the west of Kogan, and ending to south east of Tara).
